My tongue is blue

Probably because I have spent the last three days sucking on soothers. Which happens when you wake up with an infection in your left ear on Saturday, it spreads to your throat on Sunday and is currently sitting in your right ear. Honestly, I'm tempted to believe it isn't a virus but an evil spirit intent on trawling through my brain to see what's there (very little of any value, take it on faith).

Hopefully this means by tomorrow it'll have crawled out of my right ear and wandered on to someone else. Maybe I should stand with my right ear close to someone to encourage it. Or maybe that'll just get me arrested.

Dean and I went to the "Rare Trades" exhibit at Scienceworks on Sunday. It was interesting, although I was a bit surprised that "blademaker" (a guy making samurai swords in the traditional manner) was in there and "knifemaker" (of which there are several that I know of) wasn't. Maybe they're trying not to encourage people to make knives.. ;-)

Scienceworks also has an ace "Space" exhibit (which I think is permanent), but of course you have to push the little kids out of the way in order to do the fun things, like drive the robot on Mars. ;-) Dean wanted to, but I wouldn't let him. I did let him use the camera to follow the sewage in the pumphouse exhibit though - mostly because I wanted to see where on the map they put "Ramsay St, Erinsborough"! (SE suburbs. Looked to me to be Burwood IRL, but they could have just buggered up the distances and have been trying for Vermont.)

And finally we played soccer at 9pm. Only 5 of us, no subs, so we lost convincingly. We're fine until we get tired, then we can't run or kick straight. Even swapping in and out of goal doesn't help much. Still. No injuries, so it wasn't a bad night.
