Someone went around the department yesterday at lunchtime and plastered up Citizens Electoral Council propaganda on all the noticeboards.

I first noticed because it began:

"Children of Satan II: The Beast Men" with a picture of some bloke talking somewhere.

Oh, and because it was purple.

I have no idea who did it, but, mostly on the grounds that the noticeboards are departmental and therefore are only for department bullshit[1] unless authorised[2], I had a lot of fun pulling them all down again and chucking them in the bin.

As I was exiting the building last night though, I noticed one final one still hanging around and pulled that off too[3]. Then took it home and read it.

I'd really like to thank Lyndon LaRouche
for the great comedy writing, I haven't laughed so much in ages. And mate - if they really wanted to kill you, you'd be dead by now already. One man, one sniper rifle.. a hell of a lot quicker and easier than sending 100 FBI agents and armoured vehicles to surround your house and then leave again.

Still, the things you learn. LaRouche is a Democrat Presidental Nominee? He's winning but the mass media are conspiring not to report it? He's allegedly responsible for the assassination of Olof Palme? Reagan and Gorbachev both thought SDI was a great idea? Who'd've thunk it.

[1]of which there is ample without adding in external politics.
[2]there was no signature. I checked.
[3]although technically that was on the Geology noticeboard and therefore maybe was legit. I dunno, I didn't bother checking by that point having removed 16 of them already.
