Got the CT scan results back yesterday. Fortunately the physio could interpret them, as they really did mean very little to me.

The gist of it is that I did manage to fracture my ankle (there's a 4mm gap between bone bits), but fortunately only on the outside of the joint. If it were on the inside I'd probably need to get bone bits removed, so that's good. The other good bit is that it's healing and that all the stuff we've been doing has been the right treatment and not inadvertently making it worse. So I'm happy.

I think the fracture probably didn't show up on the X-ray because of the swelling keeping it shut - there was definitely nothing that I, or the doctor come to that, could see on the X-rays.

The CT scan itself was fun (I have a wierd sense of fun). Basically it was a big machine, and they got me to lie down while they moved me into the right position. It was just like the movies! Machines that go... well, hum, actually. The best bit about the machine was the green happy smiley face, which told you when you were clear, and the yellow, worried looking face with accompanying flashing radiation symbol which lit up when the machine was active. And I fell asleep while they were positioning me (I was lying down, it was warm.) The scan itself took 2 x 15 seconds (they have a countdown next to the yellow face). Maybe I should have done radiotherapy as a career, I certainly liked the machines! :-)

In one of the funniest things I have read all morning, Bush and Blair have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

I do hope they give L'il Johnny a Sheriff's badge at least, otherwise he'll feel left out.

Nobel watchers say neither Mr Bush nor Mr Blair has much chance of winning.

*snerk* Dunno, does Bush's brother run the committee? ;-)
