I mean, I'd like to believe that they wouldn't make the exact same mistake twice.
In less than a decade, what's more.
But then I remember the whole "lame duck, nothing to lose" thing and it really worries me.
I just can't see any way that this could go well. Not for us, not for them, not for anyone on the planet.
And reading Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee it struck me - this is the new Manifest Destiny. A 19th century idea, only tweaked slightly for the 21st century.
