Melbourne currently 43.6oC

Adelaide currently 42.2oC

With any luck that means we'll start cooling down any day now!

And best of all:

Perth currently 23.1oC Cool change heading east! Hooray!

Oh God. I just don't know what to say about this.

I heard it initially on the radio driving in, and hoped it was a misunderstanding. Or an accident - although seriously it was hard to think how it could have been. But a misunderstanding, something that looked from a distance like a child, or a hoax... those I could understand.

This though. I can't.

I just can't.

I understand getting angry. I understand getting furious.

I don't understand the next bit.

Why couldn't he just have walked away? Or kept driving? Or yelled?

Or... anything other than what happened.

Poor child. Poor family.
