Tis the year for hanging things
Sep. 25th, 2010 06:19 pmSo for the second time ever we have a drawn premiership and are all heading back to watch the Grand Final replay again next week. I am not entirely convinced my brother-in-law didn't somehow will this so he could make it back from the other side of the planet and watch the game.
The game itself was quite good - I was seriously expecting the Saints to win by a point over the Magpies, as they did in 1966. Both teams seem to be finding this a let down. I dunno, I'm enjoying it immensely.
And the internet (well the AFL-oriented Australian bit at least) is going nuts with hung jokes.
Best quote on the news so far: "It's going to be like the Mardi Gras, but a bit more bogan" - Magpies supporter describing celebrations if the Magpies win.
And on another note, this is seriously going to screw up a lot of uni student's "study" plans - you're supposed to start after the GF is over... heh.
