Teen faces court over wild party

Disgruntled neighbours will give evidence against a 17-year-old charged over a wild suburban house party, a court has heard.
The teen, who cannot be named, appeared in a Children's Court today charged with producing child pornography and creating a public nuisance after he allegedly hosted an out-of-control party early in the year.
A police prosecutor told the court that while the charge of knowingly creating a public nuisance was rare, it was still a current criminal offence.
The court heard the teenager had been charged with producing child pornography after his stepfather handed police a video camera allegedly containing images of a couple engaged in a sexual act.
The police prosecutor said one of the people filmed would give evidence during a two-day court hearing as well as four neighbours, a party-goer and five police witnesses.
The court heard the youth would contest the charges and denied the unruly crowd had been invited to his house.
The police prosecutor said even if the teen had not invited the party-goers, it had been his legal obligation to have them leave or behave.
The teenager's bail was extended and the case adjourned until August 18.
"The teen, who cannot be named" - ROTFL!!! Is there anyone left in Australia who doesn't know who he is? Talk about closing the gate quite a long time after the media horse had bolted.
