taxing times
Oct. 29th, 2002 05:40 pmYou know one of these years I'm not going to leave doing my tax until the last week before it's due[1].
And I'll have everything I need in one neat pile so I can find it, rather than having to re-trash the house looking for where I've left it and then ring people requesting replacements. (Phone lines very busy today - looks like I'm not the only one who can't hang on to a bit of paper for 6 months).
And I will actually understand what the hell it is I'm doing... *sigh* and work out what my expected (??) rebate is. With the medicare levy included.
Yeah, and pigs will be circling Tulla. Or more likely Essendon, because they're small.
[1] I did actually do that in 2000. Mostly because I was leaving the country and not coming back until two weeks after the tax was due. Other years we've taken our tax camping with us (yes, seriously) or done it on the tram the day it had to be posted.
