More Possum

hnpccSo it gets better (I know, I didn't think it could either.)
The PhD student snapped photos on his mobile.
What is that thing with the glowing eyes?
And closer... oh it's a possum!
Closer again... what's that it's sitting on?
Well the answer to that is a vortex. A vortex is a piece of equipment designed to vibrate quickly, to break up clumps in tubes. Usually they get left on "manual" which means that if you push down on it with a tube or the like it starts vibrating.
And the possum at some stage managed to sit on it. With it's entire weight.
And promptly shat itself when it started vibrating.
There was a... um, how to put this? Wide circular trail of both urine and faeces around the vortex.
The whole floor reeks of a combination of urine and hyperchlorite.
And we still don't know if the student's PCR worked!
And, better still - no one knows where the possum went, because when the cleaners rocked up they opened the door of the room the student had trapped it in (leaving no note, which would have been helpful) and the possum promptly rocketed past them and disappeared.
We are interested to see what happens on Monday - fortunately at least one student is coming in on the weekend and can hopefully keep the faeces levels down. Heh.
