Feb. 20th, 2010 01:02 pmI've been carrying some infection semi-sub-clinically for about a month now. It's driving me nuts. I say 'semi-sub-clinically' because while it's not a full blown cold (or whatever the hell it is) I can feel enough of it to know it's there - I'm tiring quicker, I can feel my chest tightening when I run, I'm more run down than normal. Last weekend's walk was exhausting, more exhausting than it should have been - I was behind from the start and I really never got on top of it.
I didn't realise quite how much I was run down until we didn't walk this weekend and I slept for 12 hours. I'm hoping that having more sleep this weekend will be enough to let my immune system get on top of it before we're back on the treadmill next week. Or failing that it will actually develop into productive infection and then my immune system will get on top of it. Because this half-arsed malaise thing is really not helping.
On the other hand this sign made me laugh.

Date: 2010-02-20 08:58 am (UTC)My GP reckons it's average staying power is 6 weeks. But I've been fighting the goddamn thing since Xmas... As have bunches of people I know, even family up in the middle of nowhere in Scotland.
It's playing havoc with my damn fibro :(
I'm surprised I'm not orange the amount of beta carotine I'm eating...
