Great moment from trivia last night:

New Trivia Guy (who, incidentally, I have warmed to since the last post about trivia):

"Andrew Denton's father is Kit Denton. Is Kit: an actor, a writer or a producer?"

Rick (from our team) "Or a car?"

Us and the team next to us missed the next question from laughing so hard. Sad geeks that we are...

We ended up coming second by a point.

Speaking of such trivia an R.D.Symons contributed a number of pieces to various Melbourne fanzines back in the late sixties and early seventies. I have been told (but have no way of checking) that this is Red Symons father. I sometimes wonder if Red has ever seen his father's account of smuggling gold while an airline steward.
