Shortest honeymoon period on record

Well after the last week I'm now convinced Tony Abbott will be the next Prime Minister.

Doesn't matter when the election's called, Labor's lost it at both state and federal level. If there's no difference between parties, what does it matter who you vote for? May as well go with the one that's consistent.

Personally I'm hovering between donkey voting or finding the least objectionable minor party and preferencing everyone else above the two majors.

So yeah, thanks Gillard and the idiot factions of the ALP - that would have to be the absolute shortest honeymoon period on public record.

I wish I didn't feel like this. But at the moment I cannot see them winning the next federal election, bump or not. She lost a large group of people over focusing on the asylum seekers, or at least in the way that she focused on it.

God there are so many issues out there she could have focused on. Why the hell would she pick the one that the Liberals are going to start dog-whistling on immediately? Why go back to the Pacific Solution? Why the fuck would the power brokers even think about that?

Oh hell I am so pissed off by it all.

I know. The asylum seekers thing makes me absolutely furious and miserable, frankly - as you say, it's an idiotic thing to focus on, and she didn't even provide a viable alternative to the Liberals. Sickening.
