OK, I can see how this would possibly not work as a defence for justifiable homicide.



Even so, it is bloody annoying to go look for your timer and not be able to find it.

I may be jumping to conclusions, but I'm reasonably certain that the Hons student has it because:

(a) she's borrowed it before and

(b) I try to always put it back in the same place so I don't lose it.

I don't actually mind her borrowing stuff, it's the not putting it back that's pissing me off...

Argh.



Ok, calmer now. :-)

I don't see why you're apologising to me, none of my other friends do, and there are a strangely disproportionate number of them who consistently write posts whinging about their job/degree/relationship/life/choice of television programme. Yours, at least, are coming from someone who is essentially happy with life and work, but is thwarted by an inept and annoying "colleague" whose purpose seems to be feeding you anecdotes with which to amuse me.

I almost made that one sentence, but I'm an editor at heart. I do look forward to the non-work-related post, though to be fair, I did enjoy the recent story of the downfall of the evil soccer team... :)

and (d) when I asked her "do you have my timer" in the lab meeting this morning, she reached into her pocket and went "oh sorry, I forgot".

And then started telling me about her bloody cat eating a sparrow at some ungodly hour this morning.
