more netball
Jul. 28th, 2003 05:14 pmSo after a bit of "should I, shouldn't I play netball with this calf muscle injury" I e-mailed my friend Ness to ask if she could play tonight.
Surprisingly (given the notice and all that) she could. Bit of to-ing and fro-ing over uniforms ("have you got a white t-shirt I can borrow?" "you've still got mine from last time!" "Can I wear bike shorts?" "yeah, as long as they're dark blue"), time ("yeah, 7, yeah, Richmond") etc, but there we are, all set.
I e-mailed Bec (who organises the team) to fill her in.
Then got a message from Ness to ring her on the mobile.
"Bugger", I thought, "she's bailing". No, she's actually phoned to tell me that yes, she does have my white t-shirt and she'll bring it tonight.
Then the chirpy "you've got mail!" noise goes off.
It's from Bec.
"Hi, I can't play tonight cos I've been sick since Wed"...
So I guess I'm playing. I think I'll aim for GS or GK, at least that way I only have to hobble around in one third. I'll just hope that the opposition are short. :-)
