First real kiss: When I was 14. With Nige. Dunno what happened to him, last I heard he was in student politics and hoping to move up to the big time.
First job: checkout chick at Coles.
First screen name: Alison, believe it or not. alsion came (slightly) later.
First self-purchased album: No idea. First album I owned was "Men at Work" (self-titled), but I think that was a present. I didn't buy records or tapes so much as tape stuff off the radio for... ooh ages. I still have "Appetite for destruction" which I taped off TripleM some time in second year... complete with the announcer's "you can hit the off button on the tape recorder now!" comment. I think it may have been "Urban Hymns", which was on special or something.
First funeral: Rosie Rogers, in year 10. Rosie and I hung out with the same group of friends, although we weren't close friends ourselves. She was killed after stepping into the path of a car on the way home from the Warragul Show with a couple of other girls from the group. It wasn't the driver's fault, she just didn't look. I found out the next day when I was working at the Show. I haven't been to the Show since, interestingly enough. The funeral itself was terrible, I think mostly because it was the first funeral of someone in our age group - most people had been to grandparents funerals before (although I hadn't) but this... we were immortal. Up till then. About three quarters of the year level came. Rosie's photo still is included in our 10 year reunion book, and probably will be in the 20 year reunion book if anyone organises one. At the time she seemed so mature (she was a year older than me) but now of course I'm double the age and she seems so young. Can't believe it's been 16 years, either. Time flies, and suddenly we're all married and reproducing. Well, except those who are divorcing and/or single of course... ;-)
First pets: Pusscat (family cat) and Tasha (labrador). First pet that was just mine and not family? Twiggy the guinea pig.
First piercing: Don't have any. Or any tattoos. I'm boring, OK?
First true love: First time I fell in love was a disaster. So was the second. I tried to avoid falling in love for quite some time after those two. The third worked out OK. Interestingly (well to me) all three were born in the same month of the same year.
First big trip: By myself - to Belgium in 1990 when I went on exchange. First time I'd been out of the country, first time I'd really travelled without family. First time I realised in an actual instead of intellectual sense that people spoke foreign languages the way I speak English. First time I'd seen arabic writing and numerals.
Last big car ride: to/from the Flinders Ranges in Sept.
Last kiss: This morning when I dropped Dean off at work.
Last good cry: After netball on Monday. Long story, don't ask.
Last movie seen: Cinema - LOTR:TT actually I think. At home: Men with Brooms. Wierd movie. But fun.
Last beverage drank: cappuchino.
Last food consumed: toast
Last phone call: Mum, last night to tell me that my second cousin's husband had died.
Last TV show watched: all of: the documentary on the FBI and sleeper cells on SBS last night. Part of: "After Baywatch" - man, that was sad. ;-)
Last shoes worn: black work shoes.
Last CD played: in the house - dunno, ask Dean. That I put on? God knows. Probably "Marvin the Album" by Frente. Or "Severe Tire Damage" by They Might Be Giants. Or 1992 - Pop frenzy! I tend not to have music on that much. Actually, technically the last CD I played was "Civilisation:Call to Power" come to think of it...
Last item bought: cappuchino. ;-)
Last soda drank: coke, at the Turkish restaurant on Friday night.
Last ice cream eaten: Saturday night, when Dean went on a pancake making frenzy. With yummy real maple syrup.
Last shirt worn: wearing a blue/white/purple/yellow shirt at the moment. It makes me feel a little as though I'm still wearing pjs, but it's very comfy!
