Champions!

So we played the soccer Grand Final last night. And won 4-3 in a very close match.

Yay!

(Mind you, we've no idea where exactly on the ladder we came as the soccer has gone with the "you're all winners" philosophy and we all play in finals now.)

But it was still a fantastic game. And we held them off brilliantly in the second half when everyone was exhausted - even me, who was just standing on the sidelines yelling encouragement and bouncing up and down with excitement.

And we've got the mother of all trophies... :-)

Grand Final? More like Ordinary Final. Most amusing that the trophey for efectively 5th place was almost 3 times the size of the runners up trophey. Maybe because we went up a division.

Good game. 3 nil up in the first half and I hardly had a save to make. I let three past me in the second half and made about 10 good saves. Some very nervous moments when they scored to reduce our lead to 4-3!

Fixtures and results are now up on a web site, but we need a user name and password.

I know AussieChris has them somewhere - I had them, but can't find them just at the moment.

Hopefully he hasn't misplaced them either or I'll have to ring them and get them to re-send. Oops.
