Are we good, are we good, are we any bloody good?
Well if Nick's playing we are. For some reason having a 6'5" giant with long arms who jumps and plucks the ball out of nowhere playing defence helps a lot. :-)
We won 19-1.
Which is even more impressive when you consider they had a full team and we had 5 for one half and 6 for the second.
And I only managed one slight injury. (Sprained little finger, which hurts, but much much less than breakages).
Which is good because the player defending me in the first half had me convinced I was going to re-injure my ankle. Right on top of me she was... except of course when she was going through me. Fortunately I didn't bother mentioning that to the umpires at half time (it wasn't being pulled up) because the player they put on me in the second half tried to zone... and I went through her. Got sick of going around, basically. She was getting fairly miffed that that wasn't being called either, enough to shake my hand (and injured finger) very hard at the end of the match.
But hey. Three games in and we're two wins, one loss. Now if we can get more than 5 people showing up for the start of the game next week (I thought we had 8, God knows what happened to the other two) that would be nice.
Oh and Nick won player of the match. As you'd expect. :-)
