hnpcc | I blame Des, myself.

For some reason I've had the wierdest songs floating around in my brain recently.

First off was the German entry from last year's Eurovision. I can't for the life of me remember how the winning entry went, but up into my mind pops "Let's get happy and let's get gay" and stays there.

It finally went away when the Ukrainian entry (which I think of as "Hai![1]" but which I think is actually called something else) from this year pushed it out, to be closely followed by "Whenever, wherever" by Shakira. Why those two songs remind me of each other I'm not sure, but there you go.

Then, probably because my brain had started on the Europop track, up out of nowhere comes some Italian number that I can't spell and "Het verlangen naar jou[2]" (I think - all I'm really getting is the chorus and I've no idea who sung it). Which of course starts the Clouseau numbers from "..Of zo" and "Hoezo"[3], and finally gets back to Eurovision with "Geef het op".

That then jumps to The Donna's "Give it up" (my brain is surprisingly literal at times) which, because of the bass line I think, segued nicely into a French song whose name I can't for the life of me recall at the moment[4], and then into something by Jet that keeps cropping up every time I turn on the radio.

And now it's into the White Stripes. Which is just irritating me actually.

And over the top of all this is those bloody badgers.

[1]one of my few bits of Japanese. Which is why I don't think that's its' actual title.
[2] Yeah my spelling sucks in most languages actually. Worse in Italian though.
[3]"Brandweer", "Anna", "Daar gaat ze", "Alleen voor jou" and "Domino" since you ask. Yeah I know, mostly the chart toppers.
[4] It has wierd bits in it though and a very nice bass line. Wish I could remember which tape it's on so I could listen to it IRL.
