bricks in the wall, bumps in the road
Jun. 29th, 2005 03:30 pmI hadn't read Back to Iraq for a while, and God it's depressing.
Baghdad Burning is the same story from a different angle.
But 'bumps in the road'? Appals me.
Douglas Wood is home free. Well, free-ish, I'm wondering what he wakes in fright from these days. Still, a whole lot freer than the Iraqis who were taken hostage with him.
Meanwhile, back in the land of the free, arguments continue over whether Guantanamo Bay can be described as 'the gulag of our time'.
