Argh!

I am trying to do my Stats assignment.

I am finding it really hard going.

The stats by themselves would be fine. It's the new, you-beaut program I can't work out. I've had 5 stats tutes. They assume a level of knowledge of the program that none of us in the course have. The computer knowledge in my group ranges from "can program, manage databases, am guru" to "how do you turn it on?" Most of us have never used this program or anything like it (including Excel). The tutors use it daily and assume that it's obvious that you need to collapse the data and know the commands to do it. It took me three goes to save the friggin' data and I'm up the high end of the computer knowledge scale (aren't guru though. Can't program to save life. Can turn the machine on and force restart).

The tute questions frequently bear no resemblance to the assignment (which doesn't help either). If it weren't for the fact that it's multivariate stats, I'd do the whole bloody thing manually. (I'm probably going to do all the chi-sq tests in Excel, as this program has no easy way that I can find to do them. Hell, I can't even find the easy way to put a number into a determined formula).

Last semester was so well organised and set up. This semester has been an absolute joke. I can't wait for the course feedback forms on Thursday.

And then for Multivariate 2 next semester. Providing I can finish this bloody assignment
