OK, I've now had my laugh for the day.
Andrew Landeryou is seriously (?!? surely not. I hope.) proposing a ban on all young Australians travelling to Bali as some people keep being arrested there on drugs charges. What are we actually up to now, then? There's Schappelle, the Bali 9, the model and the school teacher. That's only 12, but hey, enough that we could make a reality TV show out of them (instead of the incessant ACA and TT 'current affairs' shows... *sigh*)
Naturally, we should also ban young people from parties, nightclubs, airports and anywhere else they might encounter drugs and be stupid enough to agree to transport them anywhere, but particularly across any kind of line (state, federal, parking, doesn't matter).
And more seriously here - how old are these people? (I think the youngest is 19, but don't quote me on that. The oldest is around 27, again, don't quote me.) Legally they're all adults, and unfortunately they're presumed able to understand and be held accountable for the consequences of their actions.
OK, there are doubts about whether Schappelle is guilty (I'd say under Australian law she'd probably - but not definitely - have been found not guilty), but the Bali 9 and the latest two... well, sorry, I'd have to say on face value they did it.
But hey, ban travel for 'young people' if you want. Define 'young' first though... hey, over-30s holidays to Bali! :-)

They've never had any drugs other than alcohol and cigarettes at the Elvis Fan Club dances, so we should be right to go if there's a Bali Elvis club.
