stepping on
Oct. 27th, 2006 01:46 pmOur team is chugging along quite nicely in this steps challenge. We're currently 80% of the way to Geraldton (439km from Perth), which will probably be close to 100% when I remember to put my steps for yesterday in tonight. We were leading for a brief moment there, but have now been passed by four teams and are coming in equal 6th, with 14% of the distance to Broome (2,417km) covered. This again may change once our part-time people come in and add in their distances. We're currently trying to catch up with the leaders, who are zooming along at 22%. They've been in front pretty much from the get go.
We do, however, have the longest team name by about 3 words. :-)
I have to admit though, that while I'm enjoying this competition I'm also feeling quite tired today. Probably this is mostly due to having played netball Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with both the last two games being after 9pm. However, I've also been taking the stairs and walking at lunchtimes and all sorts of things, which is probably helping. It's certainly helping shake out the muscles the morning after playing, which is good because I haven't made it anywhere near either of the Pilates classes I was hoping to get to. I did, however, make it to the pub. :-)
