Lest we forget

Some things you read make you just despair. This is one of them.

Dear God, some people have really screwed up lives through no fault of their own.

I came across this via The Daily Truth, which came with the heading "Best we forget". There's been some discussion about that in the comments, not surprisingly.

Best we forget? No. But we do anyway. It's not here, it's not affecting us, and there are other things we're dealing with.

But every so often, we have to remember.
