We flew into Melbourne at 8pm on Monday. I came back to work again yesterday, and proceeded to download the 208 e-mails in my work inbox, then head off for coffee, then come back and start read/deleting the 210 e-mails that were now there. Why is it you can put an away message on your e-mail but not get yourself off the global list for that period?

The flight back from Singapore was the worst of the four flights overall - this particular flight was jam packed, the Germans in front of us kept putting their seats all the way back at inconvenient moments (the Indian guy next to me got briefly jammed at one point) and worst of all we didn't have movies on demand. This was particularly annoying to me, as I'd watched half of Torchwood[1] before falling asleep on the Cairo-Singapore leg, and I kept missing the episode on the way back (although I did see Medium three times in between watching movies).

But here we are, safe and sound and home again. Mostly awake even.

[1]Should it worry me that Singapore airlines is managing to screen Torchwood before the ABC does?

Hah!

You know, I first saw the new Doctor Who on my flight into London for GUFF.
