Damn stupid university websites. How can I find out if so and so is working in your lab when you won't give me a staff list for the lab? Sheesh, they make it damn hard to stalk people (or find out who's actually responsible for the piece of equipment I want to borrow.)

Think universities are bad? Try companies where they're worried about poaching, so the only names are the CEO and maybe the senior management and/or a secretary or two.

Yes, and no. I only get their last publication, which says that they were working at that lab in 2005, which I already know. What I want to know, is are they still there and do they still have the equipment I want. Which I could try just e-mailing them, but I'd like to confirm first that they haven't jumped labs!
