Seriously? Shoulda, woulda, coulda, didn't. You had your chance to challenge, you weren't supported by your party, you lost. Whether you could or couldn't have won the election is off the realms of fantasy, and kind of irrelevant. Get over it.

You also had your chance to be leader, you were supported, you didn't take it.

You're now saying you're not going to challenge for leader, so seriously? STFU. You're currently irrelevant, both to your party and to the wider electorate.

Heh - that's what's so unerringly amusing about the entire incident! Oh and the new frontbenchers all prostrating themselves to "his greatness" in the chamber. Some very funny vision there...

I just don't get why it's being covered at all, frankly. He's in Opposition, AFAIK he doesn't even have a portfolio - he's irrelevant and the sooner the papers pick up on that and stop reporting on him the better. Sheesh, the whole memoirs thing should be in the book section of the weekend paper, maybe a short extract in the politics bit. Not on the entire front page. Talk about strike and slow news day.
