Discovering that "the other side of the world" from my house is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, via this handy site. Well kinda anyway.

That of course made me wonder what was "the other side of the world" from China, to which the answer is "Argentina. Oh and other bits of South America."

I am a bit boggled to find that Christchurch, New Zealand, pairs with northern Spain. Must be that warm Atlantic current that keeps western Europe warm.

Apparently living in Dallas, Texas lands you about halfway between Australia and Madagascar. I wish I'd known that when I was a kid, we were always trying to dig to China.

I put the red thing on London and looked at the other map. I was briefly surprised to see that its antipodal point was on the international date line.

Until I thought about it and then I hit myself, hard.
