Could You Survive Another Great Depression?

I didn't really think the Great Depression and the Apocalypse were analogous, but with questions like:

"How well do you know your neighbours?"
"Do you own a weapon?" - and more specifically with that question, answers:
(a) you own a weapon of some sort; (b) no; and (c) you own guns and ammo

and

"Are you good at entertaining yourself if the electricity is out?"

I think the authors think they're basically the same thing.

The weapons thing would make more sense to me if it were part of a question about being able to hunt food - quite a number of people made ends meet during the Depression here by shooting rabbits - but given the lack of useful follow up questions like "do you know how to field butcher?" and "Can you fish?" I don't actually think that was what they were getting at.

Not to mention: the 1930s had music. It had dances. It had films. It had radio for crying out loud. I don't remember the collapse of the financial system in 1929 leading to a simultaneous collapse of the electricity network. Or a complete disruption of the oil distribution networks. This quiz sounds a lot like they watched a couple of zombie movies, read The Road and thought "ZOMG! The Great Depression! End of Civilisation!"

Or, you know, not.

Either way, I should probably stock up on my non-perishable foods and my two weeks worth of water. (Or, according to this site, my amateur prostitution skills. Hm, think I'll just stick with the food and water thanks.)
