trailwalker timings
Feb. 25th, 2010 11:06 amInteresting. Our walks so far have gone like this:
CP0-2 (21.5km): 5 hours 45 min
CP2-4 (23.7km): 7 hours 30 min
CP4-6 (27.4km): 5 hours 35 min
CP6-8 (27.4km): 8 hours 15 min
Talk about pick where the predominantly downhill section is!
So theoretically we could start this walk at 10am on the Friday and finish 27 hours and 5 minutes later at just after 1pm Saturday. Heh, like that's going to happen!!
At the moment we're aiming to finish before dark on the Saturday, which might still be pushing it. Realistically we'll probably finish somewhere between 6pm and midnight.
Edit: there's debate about the CP4-6 timing. It could actually be 7 hours, which would make more sense and would put us theoretically at the finish at 3pm Saturday. Or, you know, not.
