Advent calendar
Dec. 8th, 2010 09:51 amOn the eighth day of Christmas I realised I only had sixteen more days to get organised with presents and opened the advent calendar window to reveal:

"Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
liked to keep his cash at hand.
saving all the tips of pennies,
euros, cents and even rand.
All of the other reindeer
thought he was tight and called him names ("Miser").
They never let poor Rudolph
join in the reindeer drinking games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph would you have 11 bucks?,
the sleigh's been clamped and I'm out of luck"
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they took off from the ground,
"Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
we'll shout you for the next round!"
(I bet they only shouted him one round though... then got annoyed because he didn't return the favour. Which is probably the problem to start with. BYO people, much easier!)
This is the window of the accountants. I love the look of concentration on Rudolph's face, the bell ornament and the glasses. Then again if Rudolph does accountancy as a sideline this time of year would be busy for him, what with all the clients (like me) who use the accountants as a way to delay their tax returns until March; the quarterly small business statements due; and of course everything shutting down for Christmas. No wonder he's concentrating! He'll probably need that drink by Christmas morning.
