It feels much later than what it is. About Thursday, actually.

I know we've had the solstice, but I'm impatient for the light to come back. I want to leave work in daylight, dammit.

But before that happens I have to get prescription sunglasses. This driving south-east in the morning and north-west in the evening thing sucks.

Still no train line. Nor prospect of one.

New freeway though, cos that'll totally relieve congestion.

And tolls are up for the second time this year.

I miss being able to read on the way to and from work.

Being in the northern hemisphere, I'm opposite to you, of course. I'm really looking forward to it staying darker, longer. It's unnatural that it should be light at 4:30 in the morning! Bring back winter and the dark.

I deal with light at 4.30am a lot better than I do with dark at 5.30pm. :-)

Have to admit though, it was a bit annoying when I was working "nights" during summer: start work at 7pm (broad daylight). Work to 5.45am (sunrise). It made it very difficult to sleep.
