So it's three minutes to go in the indoor soccer final last night, and we're down, 3-0.

Then UKChris decides to go for broke, and scores.

Yay! We're not goaless.

Marcus goes ballistic and scores.

Cool.. almost a respectable loss.

Marcus does a great run around three players and scores again!

We're even! Oh no, either Sudden Death or Penalty Shootout coming...

And then, with 25 seconds left on the clock, UKChris races down the court, around the defending players and shoots it straight past the goalie into the back of the net.

And we won.

I'm still amazed. For 98% of the game we couldn't get the ball to go into the goal. Into the goalie or richocheting off the side of the goal, yeah, but not into the goal. In the last 2'45" we manage four goals (we in the UKChris and Marcus sense here) and blaze our way through to the Grand Final next week.

I just couldn't remember who scored what. I know both Chris and Marcus scored, but figured it was 3 for Marcus and one for Chris. I'm surprised you can remember the actual order, as it was all a blur for me. I just remember (and I'm sure that this was the equaliser, as it happened when their front man shouted "1 minute".) them just kicking the ball to where both Chris and Marcus are standing.

Well done on your effort BTW, your lob that hit the crossbar was about the only shot to have beaten their goalie in the first 37 minutes (92.5%) of the game.

We discussed the order and who scored quite a bit in the car on the way home.

Marcus is keeping a running goal tally apparently, either that or he's an autistic savant for who scored when. ;-)
