Jan. 1st, 2004 12:07 pmHappy New Year!
It's hot and sunny here, just the weather for chilling out. :-)
Resolutions: mostly Secret Bridesmaid's Business, actually.
I'll let you know how it goes. ;-)
BundyChris, Marcus and Kirsten came over and we made mexican while watching Monkey ("the nature of Monkey was irrepressible!"), Soultaker MST3K, and finally the Melbourne/Sydney fireworks on TV. And of course the millions of illegal fireworks going off all around the suburb. Glad to see the bust on the Hume last week put a dent in it. ;-) The smell of cordite was unbelievable - and I swear someone was letting a shottie off into the air at one point. What you get for living at the Beirut end of Lygon St, as a friend of mine put it.
Still - a Happy 2004 to everyone, and may we live in very uninteresting times. :-)
(Interesting - just noticed that the 4th edition of "The World's Most Dangerous Places" (published 2000) doesn't have Lebanon or Beirut in the index. Just goes to show - interesting times don't last forever. Thankfully.)

My own personal favourite still remains Giant Spider Invasion though, for no real reason. Just like Giant Spiders. Oh and I was a teenage werewolf, for Michael Langdon.
As to old:new? Hm, I think there was good and bad in all the series. Some of the early stuff was pretty ordinary. Some of the later stuff was quite good. All shows had their really bad spots, usually due at least partly to the movie (Red Zone Cuba - why?).
