OK, now I'm just spamming. :-)

We went to see A Lot Like Love on the weekend, which I really enjoyed. Just browsing the IMDB entry though, there are some seriously strangely (self?)named people out there. Sam Pancake? Moon Bloodgood? What?

Anyway, it's a nice film with characters that I recognised (and in some cases appear to have shared houses with). They had better New Years parties though, probably comes from being in LA rather than Melbourne.

The week before we went to see Star Wars III:Revenge of the Sith. Spoilers if you haven't seen it. )

We also saw HHGTTG up in Brisbane, which was great. I don't know, I just took it as being another wierd addition to the family as it were. There were bits I liked better in the books/TV, bits I liked better in the movie (Trillian. Can't stand Sandra Dickinson's voice in the TV series) and there's probably some bits I liked better from the radio series (but it's been quite a while since I heard/read those so I can't quite think of what I'm meaning at the moment). I loved the opening song, but I did get a tear in my eye when the original music started up for the opening credits.

We're going to another film (don't know what yet) next week. In case you're wondering why [livejournal.com profile] epideme it's because we got tickets for Christmas and they expire at the end of the month. So we're cramming them all in in one go.
